Gabby Onme releases a new double single, ‘Heaven’

Gabby Onme is a pop R&B duo based in Seoul, South Korea. The duo features, the singer Adrian and the producer, KINDA. They released a double single called, ‘HEAVEN’ on June, 30th 2024. It features the songs, ‘Psycho In Us’ and ‘HEAVEN’.

Psycho In Us

Psycho In Us has a melodic pop punk sound. The guitars in instrumental of the song are bright, uplifting and clear. Adrian’s voice has deep tone that has the range to get higher. A similar style of singing that I have heard in traditional pop punk songs. KINDA sings in the chorus of the song, he has a light and high voice that fits perfectly in the pop punk style chorus. I would love to hear more songs with KINDA singing with Adrian, Their voices contrast each other so nicely, its a nice balance. This contrasting balance they have shows in their lyrics, music, and even photoshoots. Which makes for an interesting duo that you just can’t turn away from. I really enjoyed hearing this alternative rock sound from Gabby Onme. I think this style of music really fits both their voices, Gabby Onme is known for trying many different genres so it makes sense that they excel at the pop punk genre as well!

The lyrics are truly uplifting and inspiring, they speak of having a rough time everyday in life. The monotony of life can be exhausting and stressful. For some people, when they get to their lowest point mentally, that is when they finally get the courage to get up and fight to live again. My favorite lyrics are ‘When everything’s wrong. I’m taking over the show’. For me it means, when life is falling apart, take back what is yours and begin again. The ‘Psycho In Us’ describes that drive and passion that we all have. Even when life clouds our judgment and tries to take us down, we will have that Psycho to brings us back to who we always were before life and others tired to define it for us.

Everyday fading out to black making sure I don't go insane

But I'll never let go, I'm my own psycho.

It's when everything goes left that's when I'll be yellin out my lungs for you

When everything, everything's wrong. I'm taking over the show, psycho

When everything, everything's wrong.

We'll make it out with that psycho in us.

HEAVEN

HEAVEN is a fun pop love song . The bass guitar in the chorus of the song sounds smooth and low. It has a nice groove to it and would be fun to dance to! In the music video for HEAVEN, there’s characters dancing on a theater stage. It looked like everyone had a fun time in the video, it felt good to watch. A fun yet smooth love song for the summer!

The lyrics in the chorus are catchy and fun to sing along to especially with the bass guitar in the background. I like the meaning of the lyrics, they talk about taking a chance on love with someone even if you don’t know what will happen in the end. But if you don’t try and explore the romance, you will never know what could have been. Heaven is not promised when connecting with people in relationships. Since emotions are fleeting and nothing is concrete. The only thing worth putting your all into is a chance, into faith that something or someone that could possibly be the best time of your life. But you will never know unless you try.

I’m not a angel that can send you into Heaven.

I’m not the genie that can guaentee true love.

You’ll never know for sure unless you take the mission.

Seal your own fate with me and take a risk on love.
